The number of fitters had steadily grown to cope with the increased business and more help was required on the administration front. By 1995 the business employed ten people, and by 2001 this had nearly doubled to nineteen. Peter’s daughters, Julie and Gail, were now also employed and helped with it’s expansion to the large family firm it is today. Of the 28 employees, 26 have been with the Company for 5 years or more, and the longest serving 11 average at least 30 years each.

 

Beckie, another daughter joined the company in 1998 and now looks after the customer service side of the business.

 

In 2017 the firm moved from one side of Aspden Street to the other so that it could benefit from a bigger showroom, yard, and warehouse area.

 

We now have a team of fitters who operate in the Midlands area where we install for a number of large housebuilders.

 

Julie completed a business studies degree prior to joining the family firm in 1991. She is responsible for the financial and commercial side of the business, and completed some time as Chairman of the DHF Garage Door Installer group , having served on the Committee of The Association of Garage Door Specialists as well as serving as it’s Chairman.

Gail is Peter's middle daughter and is responsible for planning all the work. She is very technically able and having an artistic nature is good at visualising how your garage door will look.

 

Beckie is not only in charge of customer care but is transport Manager with responsibility for keeping all our vans moving, and the warehouse running smoothly.
